I am a working mom of two young girls with deep roots in District 6. My husband grew up here and we live in Cory-Merrill where we are raising our two young girls.

I was raised by a Detroit family who worked in manufacturing for generations. Growing up, I developed two core principles: to leave a place better than you found it, and that everyone deserves the opportunity to be heard. That inspired my career working with nonprofits and governments to engage communities and translate big ideas into actionable solutions.

I came to Denver 25 years ago for our unique quality of life — an economic hub with access to some of the best outdoor recreation in the nation.

Now, I have a small business where I advise nonprofits on environment and natural resource policy, providing expertise on issues such as water, wildfire, parks, and open space. For the previous decade, I worked in environmental philanthropy promoting sustainable management of the Colorado River and the forests, rivers, and communities of the southwest. I also spent many years in public service as staff for U.S. Senator Mark Udall and in non-profit organizations, working on issues that matter to our quality of life in Denver and across the state like public lands, climate, wildfire, and water. My volunteer work includes serving on a budget committee for Denver Public Schools, Girls Scouts of Colorado, the Colorado Conservation Easement Oversight Commission, the Land and Water Conservation Fund subcommittee, and chairing the Colorado Recreational Trails Committee where we awarded over $50 million for outdoor recreation projects across the state.
