Greetings Denver Neighbors,

Welcome to my website! It is truly an honor to serve you--the residents of Denver as an At Large member of the Denver Public Schools Board of Education. I hope you find this website a useful and informative tool to learn more about my role on the Board, school board news, and the progress of education reform in DPS. There is a lot going on, but I will strive to keep you informed every step of the way.

I love new role on the Board and although it has not been without its challenges, I feel that I am making a positive contribution. I hope I am living up to your high expectations of me and meeting the challenge well. If not, please let me know what I can do to improve!

Since my election in November 2005, I have worked with my fellow board members and Superintendent Michael Bennet to bring the very best reform policies and effective practices into Denver Public Schools. Our primary goal is to increase student achievement for ALL Denver students! This is no small task, and some mistakes may be made along the way, but we believe it is do-able, and I for one, am working hard on it, every day.

Effective service as a publicly elected official requires a strong partnership between me—and YOU! I hope you stay in touch with me so I can effectively represent your views and concerns as well as your hopes and dreams on the Denver School Board.
